Why did not resign on moral grounds when he was accused of liquor scam? Why get humiliated by going to jail?

NEW DELHI, September 16, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav said that Arvind Kejriwal’s claim that he will now occupy the Chief Minister’s chair only after he goes through “Agni Pariksha” (Trial by Fire) to prove his innocence before the people, was a clear admission of guilt, that he had committed huge corruption in the now scrapped liquor deal, as he had spearheaded the entire deal. He said that people of Delhi now feel relieved  to see the exit of a corrupt CM. He said that Kejriwal had stalled the development of the Capital by 50 years, and he should explain his failure to fulfil the 10 guarantees he had made to the people of Delhi. 

Shri Devender Yadav said that Kejriwal’s resignation drama  was a political stunt to get the sympathy of the people, but people now nurse so much hatred against  him and his party, AAP, that they want to see  his back for ever, as he never bothered to solve the core issues of the Capital in the past 10 years. He said that people want a Chief Minister who takes responsibility to serve them and not a  CM who enjoys power and perks without holding any portfolio, and who sees nothing wrong in CMs  working from jail.

Shri Devender Yadav  said that  Delhi Congress had been maintaining the stand that Kejriwal was the kingpin of the liquor scam while Manish Sisodia executed his plans after  the liquor deal was  finalized when the  people of Delhi were battling for survival during the  Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

Shri Devender Yadav said that in the past 10 years, Kejriwal only worked for his political gains at the cost of  the people of Delhi, as his focus was on fighting elections in other States, and not on Delhi. He said that due to the total neglect of the Capital by CM Kejriwal, education in Government schools deteriorated so much that students were forced to sit in pota cabins, tin sheds, under the trees to attend classes, and wherever new class rooms were constructed, they were mired in corruption scandals, Government hospitals were in a pitiable condition, Kejriwal’s pet project Mohalla Clinics were yet another money-minting racket as  crores were siphoned off for tests never conducted in such shady clinics, due to non-desilting of drains and sewers, Delhi would get flooded when it rains with nearly 40 people losing their lives due to drowning in flood waters and electrocution, garbage accumulation has become such a serious concern that the three garbage mountains only gained in height after the Aam Aadmi Party came to power in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, water shortage, air and water pollution and disturbed public transport had made the lives of the people unbearable.

Shri Devender Yadav said that the Kejriwal Government’s so-called achievements were not visible at the ground level, and his “trial by fire” to wash off  the stains of corruption from his hands will not cut much ice  with the people of Delhi this time, as they had experienced his corruption, incompetence, inaction and shoddy works  in the past few years, which were clearly visible in the broken roads, dilapidated civic infrastructure and the  deterioration of the system in every department with the MCD and Delhi Government looking askance with vector born diseases like dengue, malariya and chikungunya spreading at an alarming level.

अगर मर्यादा और नैतिकता को आधार बनाकर मुख्यमंत्री पद से इस्तीफा देना था तब शराब घोटाले में संलिप्तता या जेल जाने पर इस्तीफा क्यों नही दिया-  देवेन्द्र यादव

नई दिल्ली, 16 सितंबर- 2024. दिल्ली प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि अरविन्द केजरीवाल के इस्तीफे के फैसले के बाद दिल्ली की जनता राहत महसूस कर रही है क्योंकि जिसे जनता ने ईमानदार समझकर सत्ता सौंपी थी वो भ्रष्टाचारियों के सरगना निकले। केजरीवाल के इस्तीफे के निर्णय से जनता कह रही है कि दिल्ली को भ्रष्टाचारी से मुक्ति मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि सौरभ भारद्वाज के बयान कि नैतिकता और मर्यादा के लिए केजरीवाल ने मुख्यमंत्री पद से इस्तीफा देने का निर्णय लिया है और केजरीवाल को पद का लालच नही है। इस पर श्री यादव ने कहा कि अगर केजरीवाल मर्यादित पुरुष है, नैतिक रुप से इस्तीफा देने का फैसला लिया है।  मैं कहना चाहता हूॅ अगर पद का लालच नही थाए तब शराब घोटाले में नाम आने के तुरंत बाद या जेल जाने पर ही इस्तीफा क्यों नही दिया।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि जब केजरीवाल को पद का लालच नही है। तो उनका बयान कि जनता की अदालत में जाऐंगे और जनता के फैसले के बाद ही मुख्यमंत्री पद पर बैठेंगे, अगर उन्हें जनता की सेवा करनी ही है तो बिना मुख्यमंत्री रहते हुए भी कर सकते है, जिस तरह से आई.आर.एस. अधिकारी से इस्तीफा देकर समाज सेवा कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली की जनता आम आदमी पार्टी को अपना जवाब लोकसभा चुनाव में दे चुकी है और दिल्ली की तबाही के बाद जनता खुद केजरीवाल का इंतजार कर रही है कि उन्होंने पिछले 3 विधानसभा और 2 दिल्ली नगर निगम चुनावों जो वादे किए थे उनमें कितने पूरे किए है। जनता के हक के पैसे भ्रष्टाचार की भेंट चढ़ाने के बाद जनता केजरीवाल से हिसाब मांगने का इंतजार कर रही है।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि केजरीवाल की नैतिकता उस समय कहां थी जब दिल्ली सरकार और दिल्ली नगर निगम की लापरवाही और गैर जिम्मेदारी के कारण जलभराव,  करंट, नालों में डूबने से 43 लोगों की जान चली गई। उन्होंने क्यों नहीं जेल से ही सबको न्याय देने के आदेश जारी किए,  परंतु आज भी इन लोगों की मौत की जिम्मेदारी लेने को कोई तैयार नही। एक दूसरे पर आरोप की राजनीति का खेल चल रहा है। दिल्ली की जनता कोविड महामारी में मचे मौत के तांडव को भूले नही है जब केजरीवाल दिल्ली की जनता महामारी का प्रकोप झेलने के लिए छोड़कर खुद छिप कर बैठ गए थे। श्री यादव ने कहा कि दिल्ली में स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, पानी, बिजली, सफाई, सड़क, नाली, नाले, परिवहन, पर्यावरण, इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर सब कुछ ध्वस्त हो चुका है, पिछले 5 वर्षों से आप के विधायक क्षेत्र से गायब रहे। केजरीवाल सहित इनके मंत्री, संत्री, विधायक, पार्षद यहां तक कि छोटे नेता तक भ्रष्टाचार में संलिप्त है और 20 मंत्री और विधायक जेल जा चुके है।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि हर चुनाव में उनकी नौंटकी कि आपका बेटा हूॅ एक बार मौका दो, अब दिल्ली की जनता जान चुकी है कि केजरीवाल भ्रष्ट है और पूरी की पूरी दिल्ली सरकार भ्रष्टाचार में लिप्त है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस्तीफा देने से पहले केजरीवाल दिल्ली की जनता को पिछले चुनाव में दी गई 10 गारंटियों का हिसाब दें। केजरीवाल सरकार की नाकामियों के कारण 10 वर्षों में दिल्ली विकास और प्रगति के मामले में 50 साल पीछे हो गई है। केजरीवाल ने दिल्ली को विश्व की नम्बर वन भ्रष्टाचारी राजधानी बना दिया है, किसी भी राज्य के लिए इससे बड़ा अपमान नही हो सकता और केजरीवाल कहते है कि जनता के बीच जाकर उनसे न्याय मांगेंगे। जबकि कुछ दिन पहले इनके आपका विधायक आपके द्वार में कहा गया कि 5 वर्षों में किए कामों का लेखा जोखा देंगें। श्री यादव ने कहा कि आम आदमी पार्टी द्वारा हर सप्ताह प्रचार का एजेंडा बदलना का मतलब साफ हैए केजरीवाल भी समझ चुके हैं कि जनता में आम आदमी पार्टी का जनाधार खत्म हो चुका है।
