NEW DELHI, September 11, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav said that both BJP and Aam Aadmi Party were playing vote bank politics in the demolition of JJ Clusters at many places in the Capital, the latest being the move to demolish the Madrasi Camp slum clusters  in East Delhi’s Jangpura. He said that after a visit by the Lt Governor to inspect the chocked Barapullah drain, which had not been desilted for the past 10 years,  the residents were issued eviction notices by the Public Works Department (PWD), which comes under the Delhi Government, without any promise of relocating them.

Shri Devender Yadav said that both BJP and Aam Aadmi Party were shedding crocodile tears for the slum dwellers of Madrasi Camp as both these parties were hand in glove   in the move to  evict the slum dwellers to make political capital out of the misery of the poor with an eye on the  upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. He said that while the Aam Aadmi Party blames the BJP for the eviction notices served on the slum dwellers, the BJP slams the Kejriwal Government for its failure to come up with a plan for their rehabilitation.

Shri Devender Yadav said that while the BJP was using the Delhi Development Authority to raze down the slums of the poor, the Kejriwal Government was behind the PWD move to evict the Madrai Camp slum dwellers.

Shri Devender Yadav said that it was strange that former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who came out of jail after spending 17 months behind bars in connection with the liquor scam, asserted that AAP will not allow the slum dwellers to be evicted, though PWD has served the eviction notices on the Madrasi Camp settlers. Shri Devender Yadav reminded the BJP leaders that Lt. Governor Shri Vinay Kumar Saxena, on 25 December, 2023 had  ordered officials to frame “within a month” a concrete action plan for the regularization of illegal buildings and rehabilitatioin of slum dwellers in the Capital in a time-bound manner. He said that the LG’s order came days after Parliament extended the validity of an Act which provided for the relocation of slum dwellers and regularization of unauthorized structures in the National Capital.

Shri Devender Yadav said that when Congress was in power in Delhi for 15 years, it formulated a policy not to remove slum clusters without providing the residents alternative accommodation, and started construction of  in situ flats in Kalkaji to resettle the slum dwellers, and also initiated the Rajiv Rattan Awaz Yojna. He said it was shocking that the Kejriwal Government did not take any step to allot flats constructed under these schemes, and now shedding false tears for the slum dwellers.

Shri  Devender Yadav asked Manish Sisodia what was he doing to protect the slums of the poor when DDA razed down slum clusters at Chilla Khader on the Yamuna Banks, Nizamuddin, Shakurbasti, Tulsi Nagar at Sarai Rohilla railway line, Khyber Pass near Civil Lines etc.

Shri Devender Yadav said that only Congress was genuinely concerned about the welfare of the poor as it was the Congress Government’s consistent policy  not to uproot the poor without giving them alternate accommodation. He said that  former Prime Minister, late Smt. Indira Gandhi’s, decision to provide plots to relocate the  poor benefited lakhs of people in the Capita.

भाजपा और आम आदमी पार्टी अपने चुनावी एजेंडे के तहत झुग्गी वालों के साथ राजनीतिक खेल खेल रही है। – देवेन्द्र यादव

नई दिल्ली, 11 सितम्बर, 2024- दिल्ली प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि भाजपा और आम आदमी पार्टी में जहां एक तरफ सत्ता के लिए घमासान मचा हुआ है, वहीं दिल्ली में झुग्गीवालों के वोट बटौरने के लिए दोनो पार्टी एक से बढ़कर एक वादे और दावे कर रही है, जबकि पिछले 10 वर्शों दिल्ली की जितनी भी झुग्गियों को उजाड़ा गया है वो आम आदमी पार्टी और भाजपा की सरकारों के आदेश के द्वारा उजाड़ी गई हैं, यह किसी से छिपा नही है। विधानसभा चुनावों से पहले वोट बैंक की राजनीति करके जहां भाजपा झुग्गी बस्तियां में अपने सदस्यता अभियान के सहारे झुग्गीवालों से झूठी सहानूभूति ले रही है वहीं आम आदमी पार्टी पदयात्रा करके झुग्गियों में जाकर उन्हें एक बार फिर गुमराह कर रही है।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि उपराज्यपाल के बारापुला नाले का निरीक्षण के बाद आप पार्टी की दिल्ली सरकार के पीडब्लूडी विभाग जहां मद्रासी कैम्प को तोड़ने के नोटिस भेजता है वहीं मनीश सिसोदिया द्वारा दल बल के साथ मद्रासी कैम्प पहुॅचकर यह बयान देना कि बिना वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था के हम दिल्ली में झुग्गीवालों को उजड़ने नही देंगे। पूरी तरह झुग्गीवालों को धोखा देने वाला है। उन्होंने कहा कि मनीश सिसोदिया बताऐं कि यमुना किनारे चिल्ला खादर, निजामुद्दीन, शकूर बस्ती झुग्गी झौपड़ी, सराय रोहिल्ला, तुलसी नगर, दया बस्ती रेलवे लाईन के नजदीक झुग्गी, मद्रासी कैम्प, खैबर पास आदि जगहों पर झुग्गियों को उजाड़े जाने के बाद कितने लोगों को वैकल्पिक अथवा स्थाई व्यवस्था दिल्ली सरकार ने की है।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने भाजपा और आम आदमी पार्टी से पूछा कि जब कोर्ट के साफ निर्देश है कि मानवता के आधार पर झुग्गियों को उजाड़ने से पूर्व उनके लिए वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था करे और पिछले वर्श संसद में पुराने कानून में संशोधन करके यह बिल पास हुआ कि 2025 तक दिल्ली की किसी भी झुग्गी को उजाड़ा नही जाऐगा। तब भाजपा और आप पार्टी की सरकारें उस पर ध्यान केन्द्रित करके झुग्गीवालों को स्थानांतरित करने की कार्यवाही क्यां नही करती? उन्होंने कहा कि कालका जी, जेलर बाग और कठपुतली कॉलोनी में झुग्गीवालों के लिए फ्लैट बनाने की योजना लाकर कांग्रेस सरकार ने काम शुरु किया था परंतु 10 वर्शों में केन्द्र और दिल्ली सरकार इन्हें पूरा नही कर पाई, बस मोदी जी ने कालका जी में कुछ लोगां को चाबी देकर फोटो खिचवाई थी, परंतु अलॉटमेंट अभी तक नही की गई।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि यदि गरीबों, झुग्गी वालों के लिए काम करना है तो कांग्रेस की शीला दीक्षित सरकार की तरह काम करें। हमने राजीव रत्न आवास योजना के अंतर्गत दिल्ली के गरीब झुग्गीवालों के लिए 48000 हजार मकान बनाने का काम शुरु किया जिनके बनने के बाद आम आदमी पार्टी पिछले 10 वर्शों में एक भी फ्लैट का आवंटन नही कर पाई। उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस सरकार ने गोल मार्केट, सरोजनी नगर, बापू धाम, बाराखम्बा रोड़, पंडारा रोड़ आदि जगहों की झुग्गियों को उजाड़ने से पहले उनके लिए वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था की थी।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि यह चिंताजनक है कि भाजपा और आम आदमी पार्टी झुग्गीवालां को इस तर्ज पर निशाना बना रही है कि जहां भाजपा का वोट बैंक है वहां आप पार्टी कार्यवाही कर रही है और जहा आप पार्टी का वोट बैंक है वहां भाजपा झुग्गीवालों को उजाड़ने का काम रही है। मैं भाजपा और आम आदमी पार्टी से अपील करता हूॅ कि झुग्गीवाले भी दिल्ली के नागरिक है, उन्हें अपने मत का इस्तेमाल करने का स्वतंत्र अधिकार है, उनपर बदले की भावना से कार्यवाही न करें और इन मलिक बस्तियों में मौलिक और मूलभूत सुविधाऐं उपलब्ध कराने के लिए काम करे ताकि इनके जीवन स्तर में सुधार हो। भाजपा और आम आदमी पार्टी दिल्ली में झुग्गीवालों के साथ मौकापरस्ती का खेल खेलना बंद करें।
