Patna: Book lovers in Bihar are in for a treat as the capital city will witness leading publishers from across the country showcasing their prized and latest collections at Patna Book Festival 2025 scheduled at Gandhi Maidan from 21 to 27 March. “This time we shall have around 300 stalls in the book fair,” Shri Yuvraj Malik, Director, NBT, said, addressing a press conference in Patna today. Nalanda Samvad, a platform for ideas, insight and inspiration (to be held on 23 March), workshops and fun sessions for children, and cultural activities scheduled daily are the added attractions at the Festival.
The Children’s Corner at the Festival will be buzzing with fun activities, workshops, and sessions tailored specially for kids, focused on skills and art forms like puppetry, storytelling, poetry, theater, and art. Some highlights include a hands-on workshop on Madhubani – the traditional art from Bihar, a Young Poet’s session, and an art contest with themes centered on Bihar Diwas celebrations on 22 March 2025.
In continuation of Bihar Diwas celebrations, Patna Book Festival 2025 will host the Nalanda Samvad event on Sunday, 23 March 2025. This one-day event will bring together well-known speakers from various fields to share their ideas, lead discussions, and connect with the audience at the festival. Vinod Anupam, National Award-winning film critic; Balendu Sharma Dadhich, senior technology professional at Microsoft, author, and speaker; Shyam Sharma, Padma Shri awardee, eminent painter, artist, author and poet; Prof. Imtiaz Ahmad, eminent historian and Former Director, Khuda Baksh Oriental Library, Patna, and Dr. Elora Tribedy, Faculty, School of Historical Studies, Nalanda University are among the lineup of distinguished speakers set to grace Nalanda Samvad.
Additionally, Bihar-based authors who were mentored in the first and second editions of the PM-YUVA mentorship scheme for young and aspiring authors, will be facilitated at the Nalanda Samvad event. These include Utkarsh Anand, Nisar Ahmad, Safiyah Akhter Subhani, Krishnendu Mohan Thakur and Deepshikha. PM-YUVA 3.0 was launched earlier this month and will accept submissions from aspiring Indian writers until 10 April 2025.
Finally, for those who want to relax after a day of exploring books and listening to interesting discussions, the Festival offers cultural performances featuring artists like, renowned Indian novelist, poet, and comedian, Shambhu Shikhar.

पटना : राष्ट्रीय पुस्तक न्यास, भारत द्वारा 21 से 27 मार्च 2025 तक पटना के गांधी मैदान में पटना पुस्तक महोत्सव, 2025 का आयोजन किया जाएगा।
लगभग सात दशकों से, शिक्षा मंत्रालय की नोडल एजेंसी के रूप में, राष्ट्रीय पुस्तक न्यास, भारत (एनबीटी), पुस्तक मेलों एवं महोत्सवों (हाल ही में सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुए नई दिल्ली विश्व पुस्तक मेला 2025), कार्यशालाओं, संगोष्ठियों और सम्मेलनों के माध्यम से देशभर में पुस्तक- संस्कृति एवं पठन- प्रवृत्ति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए समर्पित है।
इस वर्ष पटना पुस्तक महोत्सव में, एनबीटी द्वारा लगभग 300 पुस्तक स्टॉल लगाए जाएँगे, जिसमें संपूर्ण भारत के प्रकाशकों एवं प्रदर्शकों की एक विस्तृत शृंखला प्रदर्शित की जाएगी। इन स्टॉलों पर देशभर की भाषाओं, विधाओं, लेखकों व भौगोलिक क्षेत्रों से पुस्तकों का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा।
सात दिवसीय महोत्सव में विशेष आकर्षण का केंद्र है – बच्चों का कोना। पटना पुस्तक महोत्सव के दौरान प्रतिदिन, बच्चों का यह कोना मज़ेदार गतिविधियों, कार्यशालाओं और विशेष रूप से बच्चों के लिए तैयार किए गए सत्रों जैसे कठपुतली, कथावाचन, कविता, रंगमंच आदि से गुलज़ार रहेगा। कुछ मुख्य आकर्षणों में मधुबनी – बिहार की पारंपरिक कला से संबंधित कार्यशाला, युवा कवि-सत्र तथा 22 मार्च, 2025 को बिहार दिवस समारोह पर आधारित कला प्रतियोगिता शामिल हैं।
बिहार दिवस समारोहों के साथ-साथ, पटना पुस्तक महोत्सव में दिनांक 23 मार्च 2025 को नालंदा संवाद कार्यक्रम का आयोजन भी किया जाएगा। यह एक दिवसीय कार्यक्रम विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के जाने-माने वक्ताओं को विचार-विमर्श, परिचर्चा तथा पाठकों से बातचीत करने के लिए मंच प्रदान करेगा। राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त फ़िल्म समीक्षक, विनोद अनुपम; माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के वरिष्ठ प्रौद्योगिकी पेशेवर, लेखक एवं वक्ता बालेंदु शर्मा दाधीच; पद्म श्री पुरस्कार से सम्मानित, प्रख्यात चित्रकार, कलाकार, लेखक एवं कवि श्याम शर्मा तथा प्रख्यात इतिहासकार व खुदा बख्श ओरिएंटल लाइब्रेरी, पटना के पूर्व निदेशक प्रो. इम्तियाज़ अहमद भी कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित होने वाले प्रतिष्ठित वक्ताओं की सूची में शामिल हैं।
इसके अतिरिक्त, बिहार के वे लेखक जिन्हें युवा एवं महत्वाकांक्षी लेखकों के लिए पीएम-युवा मेंटरशिप योजना के पहले व दूसरे संस्करण में मेंटर किया गया था, उन्हें भी नालंदा संवाद कार्यक्रम में शामिल किया जाएगा। इन लेखकों में उत्कर्ष आनंद, निसार अहमद, सफिया अख्तर सुभानी और दीपशिखा शामिल हैं। पीएम-युवा 3.0 योजना को इस महीने की शुरुआत में प्रारंभ किया गया था और इसमें दिनांक 10 अप्रैल 2025 तक महत्वाकांक्षी भारतीय लेखकों से प्रविष्टियाँ स्वीकार की जाएंगी।
पटना पुस्तक महोत्सव दिनांक 21 से 27 मार्च 2025 तक प्रातः 11 बजे से रात्रि 8 बजे तक है। सभी के लिए प्रवेश निःशुल्क है।
