The National Federation of Youth Movement (NFYM) strongly condemns the recent attack on Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice Gavai. NFYM Chairman Masihuzzama Ansari expressed deep concern over the incident, stating that it is not merely an assault on an individual but an attack on the Constitution, the judiciary, and the very spirit of Indian democracy.
What is more disturbing, he said, is the reaction of certain right-wing media platforms and affiliated groups, who are seen celebrating the incident and even defending the accused advocate. Such behavior undermines the sanctity of judicial institutions and sets a dangerous precedent for democratic values and the rule of law.
NFYM takes this matter with utmost seriousness and demands that the concerned authorities initiate strict legal action against all those attempting to mock, justify, or provoke such acts of violence against constitutional institutions.
Furthermore, NFYM urges the Press Council of India and other media regulatory bodies to take immediate action against news agencies and media outlets that continue to telecast interviews of the accused advocate, who is persistently defaming and personally attacking the Chief Justice of India. Allowing such content to be broadcast not only violates journalistic ethics but also contributes to the erosion of public trust in the judiciary.
NFYM is committed to its pledge to uphold the dignity of the judiciary, safeguard democratic values, and promote responsible conduct in public and media discourse. Taking cognizance of such incidents will prevent individuals or organizations from repeating such behaviour in the future.

उन्होंने कहा कि इससे भी अधिक चिंताजनक बात यह है कि कुछ दक्षिणपंथी मीडिया प्लेटफ़ॉर्म और संबद्ध संगठन इस घटना का जश्न मना रहे हैं और आरोपी वकील का बचाव कर रहे हैं। यह आचरण न केवल न्यायिक संस्थाओं की गरिमा को ठेस पहुँचाता है, बल्कि लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों और विधि के शासन के लिए भी गंभीर खतरा पैदा करता है।
एनएफवाईएम इस मामले को अत्यंत गंभीरता से लेता है और मांग करता है कि संबंधित विभाग उन सभी के विरुद्ध कठोर कानूनी कार्रवाई करें जो इस प्रकार की हिंसक घटनाओं का मज़ाक उड़ाने, औचित्य साबित करने या उकसाने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं।
