Solidarity Meeting for Peace and justice of Palestinians in Kolkata

India Govt should create world opinion against genocide in Gaza Call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire

Kalakatta – India Palestine Solidarity Forum in a meeting held at Dover Guest House Kolkata call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and called for a halt to the barbaric genocidal Israeli war on Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem. We also condemn the war that Israel has unleashed on Lebanon, where yet again Israel is bombing & murdering civilians. According to the report of the reputed medical journal, Lancet – Israel has murdered more than 2,00,000 Palestinians in Gaza itself, amounting to 8% of the population. The world is thus witness to a Holocaust of the Palestinian nation.

Meeting passed a resolution demanding an end of the colonial occupation of Palestine by Israel. We also support the call to establish a Sovereign Independent State of Palestine.

This meeting appeals to the government of India to ban the export of weapons of war and technical war materials to Israel until the end of this war. We also call for an end to the policy of the Modi regime of sending Indian workers into Israel.

Israel has been held guilty of war crimes by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) & the International Criminal Court (ICC) for committing war crimes in Gaza. India, being a signatory to the Geneva Convention, must stop being complicit in this mass murder, these war crimes.

We also condemn the act of the Karnataka Government to allow IIS to organise an Indo-Israel Business Summit. This is despite the strong protests by students and civil society activists of Banglore.
In the meeting presided over by Gopa Mukerjee ,
Gen Sec,Bangladesh Bharat Peoples Forum introduced the resolution and said that “We Indians have responsibility to stand with Palestinians for their freedom and independent state as we believe in world peace and justice.”

National President of the Forum, Dr. Sunilam explained how the Western world leaders are party to the heinous crime and war criminality of Israel. He appealed for unity and solidarity for justice for the Palestinian people. He said that India Govt should create world opinion against genocide in Gaza and the people present in the meeting call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and called for a halt to the barbaric genocidal Israeli war on Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem. We also condemn the war that Israel has unleashed on Lebanon, where yet again Israel is bombing & murdering civilians, where yet again, more than 600 have been murdered.
. We demand an end of the colonial occupation of Palestine by Israel. We also support the call to establish a Sovereign Independent State of Palestine.

Nousheen Baba Khan on behalf of WB committee said that
