The tampering with nature has led to changes in the pattern of rainfall and an increase in the frequency of natural disasters. The changing weather patterns in Bihar are not only harming humans but also posing a threat to animals and crops. The recent storms and lightning strikes have claimed hundreds of lives, killed animals, and damaged thousands of acres of crops. The roofs of poor people’s homes were blown away, and it took several days to even locate them.

The sudden storms have flattened weak walls and uprooted trees, leaving the area looking like nothing was ever there. The question now arises: how did this massive destruction happen? Despite the massive loss of life and property, no one seems to have paid attention to this issue yet.
Twenty to twenty-five years ago, storms would come, but the situation wasn’t as dire as it is today. Occasional lightning strikes would occur, but now unseasonal rains and storms have become common. Humans are frightened but seem to be helpless. If we’re not helpless, then why haven’t we devised new ways to save ourselves from this disaster?
The current era we’re living in might be terrifying, but we’re the ones who brought it upon ourselves. We’re tampering with nature, and we’re expecting to be saved? It’s not possible. The recent storms and lightning strikes have claimed over 100 lives in Bihar. Instead of learning from the past, we’re still tampering with nature.
In the past, Bihar would experience rainfall and storms during the monsoon season, but it would be beneficial for crops and humans. However, since humans started cutting down trees, filling up rivers and ponds, and demolishing mountains, we’ve been facing these disasters. The government also only informs us about disasters after they’ve passed.
We can’t rely on the government for our lives. We need to take matters into our own hands. Planting trees is a good start. Trees play a crucial role in maintaining the environment, ecosystem, and climate. Cutting down trees leads to soil erosion, increased carbon dioxide levels, and the destruction of animal habitats.
Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, keeping the environment clean. They’re essential for human life, providing food, medicine, and fuel. Cutting down trees affects human life in many ways, including food scarcity, illness, and economic loss. Trees also help prevent natural disasters and maintain groundwater levels.
It’s essential that people stop tampering with nature; otherwise, the future will be even more catastrophic.
