New Delhi – The courtyard of the Indian embassy in Jaddah, Saudi Arabia is once again experiencing corruption, a case of a highly expensive “training software”, which was forcibly imposed by the Indian embassy in the Indian international schools in Saudi Arabia without passing a tender. But the current chairman and members of Samiti’s opposition came to light when he was released prematurely. After reviewing all the situations, it becomes clear that in the Saudi system of the Indian Embassy, the officials are bent on doing what they want –  According to a news portal & Urdu newspaper, chairman Mr. Ghaznafar Alam has been currently suspended with his team – Attempts are being made to damage control on Taleem Project Scam and serious violations by consul (Commerce & PIC) Mrs. Hamna Khan.

Jeddah: After the voices raised by the parents, the involvement of Indian media and cognizance taken by MEA India on the most talked Taleem Project scam involving around approx IRS 23 crores per year, and the appointment of Mr. Haneefa the tented translator responsible for the loss of approx IRS 23 crores, Mrs. Hamna Khan is now trying to do the damage control.
Mrs. Hamna Mariam Khan goes to the extent of breaching all the rules setting the worst examples for the staff. She directly instructed the principal on 19th May 2020, who doesn’t report to her, to remove the administrative officer, Mr, Mohammad Akram from Utter Pradesh, without consulting the Management Committee and its chairman, and the Admin Officer was removed from his post unlawfully without following any due procedure. On 10th June the principal issued an office order without the approval of the chairman whom he reports. The office order was utterly unlawful in which the principal wrote that in compliance to the instructions received from the consul (com & PIC) and the school observer vide her email dated May 19, 2020, Mr. Mohammad Akram is moved to the teaching position 6-9 block and V V K Haneefa is deputed as  Admin Officer.
In no way she is legally empowered to take any disciplinary action against any school staff but her malafied intention promotes her to do all such unlawful activities getting background support from the Ambassador. Mr. Haneefa who hails from Mrs. Khan’s own state is the one who played an important role to mislead the judicial court in Jeddah by verifying a misguiding translation of the agreements of the new building which resulted in losing the case in the court imposing the financial burden of 12 million Saudi riyals on the school which is almost 23 crores Indian rupees. The unlawful appointment of Mr. Haneefa on a sensitive post by Mrs. Khan at the time when the schools had filed an appeal in the court to re-open the same litigation as well as the Boy section litigation for 32 million Saudi Riyals, increases the doubts of corruption and corrupt practices.
The former chairperson Mr. Alam has registered the detailed complaints to competent authorities in India. In his complaint, he has listed some of the serious violations from Mrs. Khan which indicates her mala fide intentions and desperation to overrule the laws by dictating the principal to implement all her malicious agenda under the guidance of the patron of the school Dr. Ausaf Sayeed. Mr. Alam writes that the administrative duty of a Consul at CGI should be towards monitoring the rights of Indian Nationals and permanent residents of India residing in the kingdom, providing advice and guidance for distressed Indian citizens and permanent residents traveling abroad to that area, and assisting them in their contacts with local authorities.
In place of promoting social and cultural relations between India and KSA and strengthening India’s image in Saudi Arabia, but Mrs. Khan has been investing all her energy to implicate and conspire against the Indian EXPATS in the Jeddah region and to misuse her authority. Recently she tried to trap an ex-chairman of IIS Jeddah who had raised some pressing issues of the school affairs in the public interest. Mrs. Khan instructed the principal through her official email id cul.jeddah@mea.gov.in  on Sun, May 17, 2020, at 12:33 PM to issue a Show Cause Notice to the above-stated ex-chairman. This was another violation and  Mrs. Khan’s mala fide intention to damage an Indian citizen on a foreign land socially, personally, and professionally. He emphasized further that Mrs Khan often forces the School principal and Management Chairman to sign the letter, which she herself drafts with so many biased and unlawful remarks. Recently in June 2020 she forced the School Management Committee Chairman to sign a letter drafted by her for the school Bus Transporter and when some factual changes made in the letter by the chairman, she was prompted to serve an explanation to the Chairman, Management committee which is a mere violation of the charter of the Ministry of Education KSA.
The Embassy of India in Riyadh along with the Consul, Mrs Hamna and the members of the so-called Higher Board introduced a very costly and much over-priced online academic platform called Project Taaleem. Every school and Management that rejected this project as it was neither financially viable nor required during this pandemic was targeted, defamed, and terminated. The online Project Taaleem for ten community schools under the patronage of Shri Ausaf Sayeed is between 10 to 12 million riyals per year, which are around 23 crores Indian rupees.
Mrs. Khan after the parent’s unrest, media coverage, and MEA’s interference has taken some steps to control the damage for the face-saving. For example, the Patron has announced that it is now less likely to implement the Taleem project in IIS Jeddah which is a big relief for the poor parents. The post of the administrative Officer has bee now advertised on September 20, 2020, and an office order issued yesterday on September 22, 2020, to move Mr. Akram who was the victim of Mrs. Khan’s vested agenda, to the senior block in Boys Section. This time the official order has been issued upon the Management Committees approval as per the rules.
The Prime Minister’s office and the MEA etc have been approached formally and have been requested to look into this corrupt affair of Mrs. Hamna Mariam Khan under the supervision of Dr. Ausaf Sayeed and the Embassy of India who promotes deep-rooted corruption and has asked he PMO to help the Indian community to save parents money by putting a stay on Taaleem project in all ten schools and setting an inquiry by CVC or CBI on Multi-Million Project Taleem which was obtained secretly without publishing any Tender Notice on Official site or in any newspaper. The announcement of the Ambassador states that the project is implemented with his approval but without adopting any procedure. An inquiry has also been requested to investigate the corrupt practices and misuse of authority by Mrs. Hamna Khan.
It is to be known that earlier, during the Vandown, under the Vande India Mission, there was an aerial operation to transport the Indian migrants trapped in Saudi Arabia, which is still going on, but at that time the Indian diaspora Dominion Simon resident in Riyadh, Saudi Was employed in an IT company. When he asked for information about the Vande India Mission by applying RTI to the Indian Foreign Ministry and after receiving a reply from the ministry, Simon corrected the Indian migrants living in Saudi through his social media. Informed. The Indian embassy probably felt bad and another was arrested by the Saudi police saying that it is a crime under Saudi law to mobilize airports via social media, so he is in Saudi jail till now.
Now the question is that on the day of the arrival of the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, the case of corruption is exposed and the punishment is given which exposes the corruption. After all, who will do justice?
