DPCC President Shri Devender Yadav hoists the national flag to mark the 78th Independence Day at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan—Salutes Congress leaders and workers who made great sacrifices for the Independence of the country

NEW DELHI, August 15, 2024—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav hoisted the National Flag to mark the 78th Independence Day at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. He recalled the great sacrifices made by the Congress leaders and workers  in the freedom movement and saluted them for their unforgettable roles to free the country from the yoke of the British rule. Sewa Dal workers rendered Vante Mataram and Jana Gana Mana before Shri Yadav unfurled the national flag. Shri Devender Yadav also participated in the flag-hoisting function held at the AICC office premises at Akbar Road earlier in the morning.

Besides Shri Devender Yadav, prominent others present on the occasion were former Delhi Ministers Shri Haroon Yusuf, NSUI Incharge Shri Kanhiya Kumar, Chairman of the Communications Department and ex-MLA Shri Anil Bhardwaj, ex-MLAs Bisham Sharma, Kunwar Karan Singh, Amrish Gautam, Former DPCC vice president Mudit Aggarwal, senior leader Mahmood Zia, chief organizer of Seva Dal Sunil Kumar, district presidents Dinesh Kumar Advocate, Satbir Sharma, Mohammad Usman, MC Sameer Mansoori, former mayor Varyam Kaur, former Deputy Mayor Panna Lal Kherwal, Ex MC Ch. Prem Kumar, Ramesh Popli, Aman Sudan, Abdul Wahid, PK Mishra, Advocate Sunil Kumar, Rajesh Garg including Congress Seva Dal, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, NSUI and officials and workers of cells and departments.

Shri Devender Yadav, extending his best wishes to the people of Delhi on the occasion of the Independence Day and saluting all those freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives, said that if the people of India were breathing easy, had the freedom to progress in life,  were living in a liberated country, and the country had witnessed amazing developments at all levels in the last 78 years, it was because of the dynamic leadership of   Congress Governments and leaders. He said that it was on account of the sweat and blood spilled by the Congress workers and leaders after long struggles  that the country could get Independence. He said that the country salute all those great leaders, freedom fighters and the visionary leaders who helped shape the country’s development and progress after Independence.

Shri Devender Yadav said that it was the tragedy of the  country that though Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the Tricolour from the Ramparts of the Red Fort for the 11th year in succession, his 67 days in power on his third term as Prime Minister,  the country had witnessed 17 terrorist attacks, with 18 soldiers losing their lives and 26 suffering injuries. In the terrorist attacks, 11 common citizens also died while 50 suffered serious injuries. He said that under  the Modi rule, people were living under the fear of terrorist attacks.

नई दिल्ली, 15 अगस्त, 2024- दिल्ली प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने देश की आजादी के 78वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर आज सेवादल के कांग्रेस सैनिकों द्वारा वंदे मातरम के उदघोष और राष्ट्रगान जन,गण, मन… के बाद प्रदेश कार्यालय राजीव भवन में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया।  इससे पहले प्रदेश अध्यक्ष श्री देवेन्द्र यादव अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस कमेटी के ध्वजारोहण कार्यक्रम में भी शामिल हुए।

ध्वजारोहण कार्यक्रम में प्रदेश अध्यक्ष के अलावा दिल्ली सरकार के पूर्व मंत्री हारुन युसूफ, एनएसयूआई प्रभारी श्री कन्हैया कुमार, कम्युनिकेशन विभाग के चेयरमैन एवं पूर्व विधायक श्री अनिल भारद्वाज, पूर्व विधायक श्री भीष्म शर्मा, कुंवर करण सिंह, अमरीश गौतम, पूर्व प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष मुदित अग्रवाल, वरिष्ठ नेता महमूद जिया, सेवादल के मुख्य संगठक सुनील कुमार, जिला अध्यक्ष दिनेश कुमार एडवोकेट, सतबीर शर्मा, मौहम्मद उस्मान, निगम पार्षद समीर मंसूरी, पूर्व मेयर वरयाम कौर, पूर्व पार्षद पन्ना लाल खेरवाल, चौ0 प्रेम कुमार, रमेश पोपली, अमन सूदन, अब्दुल वाहिद, पीके मिश्रा, एडवोकेट सुनील कुमार, राजेश गर्ग सहित कांग्रेस सेवादल, महिला कांग्रेस, युवा कांग्रेस, एनएसयूआई सहित सेल एवं विभागों के पदाधिकारी व कार्यकर्ता भी मौजूद थे।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव भी दिल्लीवासियों को स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि आज हम स्वतंत्र भारत में सांस ले रहे हैं, यह सब कांग्रेस के सिपाहियों के संघर्ष, बलिदान के कारण संभव हो पाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज का दिन हमारे देश के हर उस व्यक्ति का है जिसने देश के विकास में भूमिका निभाई है, आज दिन के लिए शहीद हुए हर उस नौजवान, इंसान का है जिसने देश की आजादी के संघर्ष में हिस्सा लिया। मै देश को आजादी दिलाने वाले शहीदों को नमन करता हूॅ, हमें शांति और सदभाव के साथ आजादी के इस पर्व को मनाना चाहिए।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि मोदी जी तीसरे प्रधानमंत्री है जो 11वीं बार स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर झंडा फहराएंगे परंतु यह दुर्भाग्य है कि उनके तीसरे काल के 67 दिनों में देश में 17 आतंकी हमले हुए जिनमें 18 जवान शहीद हुए है व 26 घायल हुए है। आतंकी हमलों में 11 नागरिक मारे गए और 50 नागरिक घायल हुए। उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा के शासन में लोग आतंकी भय में जी रहे।

श्री देवेन्द्र यादव के नेतृत्व में आज सभी 14 जिलों और 258 ब्लाक कांग्रेस कमेटियों में भी तिरंगा फहराया गया। प्रदेश अध्यक्ष स्वयं भी कई जिलों के ध्वजारोहण कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए। जिला व ब्लाक अध्यक्षों ने बूथ स्तर पर आयोजित हुए ध्वजारोहण कार्यक्रम में हिस्सा लिया। बूथ स्तर के झंडा समारोह में कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने क्षेत्रीय निवासियों को भी शामिल किया। सभी कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपने घरों पर भी राष्ट्रीय ध्वज लगाकर गौरव का अनुभव किया। ब्लाक और जिला कांग्रेस कमेटियों की मासिक बैठकों और कार्यकारिणी की बैठकों  में प्रदेश अध्यक्ष श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने सभी कार्यकर्ताओं का आव्हान किया था कि वे संगठन को मजबूत करने और क्षेत्र में अपनी मौजूदगी बताने के लिए अपने घरों और घरों के नजदीक पोल आदि पर पार्टी का झंडा फहराऐं, परंतु आज स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर दिल्ली कांग्रेस के हजारों कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपने बूथ स्तर पर ध्वजारोहण करने के साथ अपने घरों पर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया।
