Ellenabad assembly, had the highest turnout of 80.61%, while Badkhal assembly constituency had the lowest turnout of 48.27% – total voting 67.90%, took place in Haryana.

नई दिल्ली, 6 अक्तूबर* – हरियाणा के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्री पंकज अग्रवाल ने बताया कि प्रदेश में 15वी विधानसभा आम चुनाव-2024 के लिए 5 अक्तूबर को 67.90 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ है। सिरसा जिला मे सबसे अधिक 75.36 प्रतिशत मतदान व फरीदाबाद जिला मे सबसे कम 56.49 प्रतिशत मतदान दर्ज किया गया है। इसके अलावा ऐलनाबाद विधानसभा क्षेत्र मे सबसे अधिक 80.61 प्रतिशत मतदान और बड़खल विधानसभा क्षेत्र मे सबसे कम 48.27 प्रतिशत मतदान दर्ज किया गया है।

श्री पंकज अग्रवाल ने बताया की प्रदेश मे चुनाव शांतिपूर्ण रहा है। उन्होंने जानकारी देते हुए बताया की अम्बाला जिला मे 67.62 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ है। पंचकूला जिला में 65.23 प्रतिशत, यमुनानगर जिला में 74.20 प्रतिशत, कुरुक्षेत्र जिला में 69.59 प्रतिशत, कैथल जिला में 72.36 प्रतिशत, करनाल जिला में 65.67 प्रतिशत, पानीपत जिला में 68.80 प्रतिशत, सोनीपत जिला में 66.08 प्रतिशत, जींद जिला में 72.19 प्रतिशत, फतेहाबाद जिला में 74.77 प्रतिशत मतदान रहा है।

इसी प्रकार, हिसार जिला में 70.58 प्रतिशत, भिवानी जिला में 70.46 प्रतिशत, चरखी दादरी जिला में 69.58 प्रतिशत, रोहतक जिला में 66.73 प्रतिशत, झज्जर जिला में 65.69 प्रतिशत, महेंद्रगढ़ जिला में 70.45 प्रतिशत, रेवाड़ी जिले में 67.99 प्रतिशत, गुरुग्राम जिला में 57.96 प्रतिशत, मेवात जिला में 72.81 प्रतिशत, पलवल में 73.89 प्रतिशत मतदान रहा है।

हरियाणा में 90 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों के लिए एक ही चरण में 5 अक्तूबर को मतदान सुबह 7 बजे से शाम 6 बजे तक हुआ। जिसमें 20,632 मतदान केंद्र स्थापित किए गए थे। प्रदेश के 2,03,54,350 मतदाताओं में से 1,38,19,776 मतदाताओं ने मतदान किया। इनमें से 74,28,124 पुरूष व 63,91,534 महिलाओं तथा 118 थर्ड जेंडर मतदाताओं ने अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग किया है।

उन्होंने बताया कि मतदान का सुचारू रूप से सम्पन्न करवाने के लिए विभिन्न स्तरों पर तैयारियां की गई थी। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार, मतदान प्रक्रिया पर कड़ी और निरंतर निगरानी के लिए मतदान केंद्रों पर वेबकास्टिंग की व्यवस्था की गई थी। आयोग द्वारा फील्ड मॉनिटरिंग और निरंतर फीडबैक के लिए 97 केंद्रीय पर्यवेक्षक भी तैनात थे।

श्री पंकज अग्रवाल ने कहा कि प्रलोभन मुक्त चुनाव के लिए लगातार प्रयासों के चलते, चुनावों की घोषणा के बाद से प्रदेश में 75.97 करोड़ रुपये की प्रतिबंधित सामग्री जब्त की गई। उन्होंने कहा कि चुनावों में कानून व्यवस्था बनाये रखने तथा शान्तिपूर्ण मतदान की दृष्टि से प्रदेश में केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों की 225 कंपनियों की तैनाती की गई। हरियाणा पुलिस ने भी प्रदेश में सुरक्षा के कड़े इंतजाम किए। विधानसभा चुनाव को स्वतंत्र, निष्पक्ष व शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से संपन्न करवाने के लिए 29 हजार 462 पुलिकर्मियों, 21 हजार 196 होेमगार्ड के जवान तथा 10 हजार 403 एसपीओ की तैनाती की गई।

*मतदान केंद्रों पर मतदाताओं की सुविधा के लिए न्यूनतम सुविधाएं सुनिश्चित की गई*

श्री पंकज अग्रवाल ने बताया कि मतदान के अनुभव को सुखद और यादगार बनाने के लिए निर्वाचन आयोग की प्रतिबद्धता के तहत सभी मतदान केंद्रों पर पीने का पानी, बिजली, शौचालय, रैंप, र्प्याप्त आश्रय, हेल्पडेस्क जैसी न्यूनतम सुविधाएं प्रदान की गईं। जरूरतमंद लोगों को व्हीलचेयर सुविधा प्रदान की गई। युवा मतदाताओं को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए 114 मतदान केंद्रों का प्रबंधन युवाओं द्वारा किया गया। लैंगिक समावेशिता और सुगमता को बढ़ावा देने के तहत 115 मतदान केंद्रों का प्रबंधन पूरी तरह से महिलाओं द्वारा किया गया जबकि 87 का प्रबंधन दिव्यांग कर्मचारियों द्वारा किया गया।

*स्वीप गतिविधियों से मतदाताओं को किया जागरूक, करवाई विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताएं*

मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि मतदान के दिन से पहले लोकतांत्रिक उत्सव को बढ़ावा देने के लिए व्यवस्थित मतदाता शिक्षा और चुनावी भागीदारी स्वीप गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया। मतदान के दिन युवाओं में मतदान के प्रति उत्साह को और अधिक बढ़ाने के लिए नुक्कड़ नाटक, स्थानीय प्रभावशाली व्यक्ति और प्रतीक, स्वदेशी खेल गतिविधियों के साथ-साथ पौधरोपण अभियान, पेंटिंग और वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिताओं जैसी विभिन्न गतिविधियों में स्थानीय विषयों और तत्वों का उपयोग किया गया।

*बढ़चढ़ कर मतदान करने के लिए मतदाताओं का धन्यवाद*

श्री पंकज अग्रवाल ने मतदान प्रक्रिया को शांतिपूर्ण व सफलता से करवाने के लिए चुनाव ड्यूटी में लगे सभी अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि सभी के सहयोग से प्रदेश में चुनाव शांतिपूर्ण रहा। इसके साथ ही मतदान करने वाले सभी मतदाताओं को धन्यवाद किया जिन्होंने लोकतंत्र के इस महापर्व में बढ़चढ़ कर भाग लिया।

*New Delhi, October 6* – Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Sh. Pankaj Agarwal said 67.90 percent voting took place on October 5 for the 15th Assembly General Election-2024 in the state. The highest 75.36 percent voting was recorded in Sirsa district and the lowest 56.49 percent voting was recorded in Faridabad district. Apart from this, the highest 80.61 percent voting was recorded in Ellenabad Assembly constituency and the lowest 48.27 percent voting was recorded in Badkhal Assembly constituency.

Sh. Pankaj Agarwal said the elections in the state have been peaceful. Giving information, he said 67.62 percent voting has taken place in Ambala district while 65.23 percent voting was recorded in Panchkula district, 74.20 percent in Yamunanagar district, 69.59 percent in Kurukshetra district, 72.36 percent in Kaithal district, 65.67 percent in Karnal district, 68.80 percent in Panipat district, 66.08 percent in Sonipat district, 72.19 percent in Jind district and 74.77 percent in Fatehabad district.

Similarly, Hisar district recorded 70.58 percent voting, Bhiwani district recorded 70.46 percent, Charkhi Dadri district recorded 69.58 percent, Rohtak district recorded 66.73 percent, Jhajjar district recorded 65.69 percent, Mahendragarh district recorded 70.45 percent, Rewari district recorded 67.99 percent, Gurugram district recorded 57.96 percent, Mewat district recorded 72.81 percent and Palwal recorded 73.89 percent voting.

Voting for 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana was held in a single phase on October 5 from 7 am to 6 pm. Total 20,632 polling stations were set up. Out of 2,03,54,350 voters in the state, 1,38,19,776 voters cast their vote. Out of these, 74,28,124 men, 63,91,534 women and 118 third gender voters exercised their franchise.

Sh. Pankaj Agarwal said preparations were made at various levels to ensure smooth conduct of the polling. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, webcasting was arranged at polling stations for strict and continuous monitoring of the polling process. 97 central observers were also deployed by the Commission for field monitoring and continuous feedback.

He said due to continuous efforts for inducement-free elections, banned material worth Rs 75.97 crore was seized in the state since the announcement of elections. He said 225 companies of Central Armed Police Forces were deployed in the state to maintain law and order and to ensure peaceful polling in the elections. The Haryana Police also made strict security arrangements in the state. To conduct the Assembly elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner, 29,462 police personnel, 21,196 Home Guard jawans and 10,403 SPOs were deployed.

Basic amenities were ensured for the convenience of voters at polling stations

Sh. Pankaj Agarwal said as part of the Election Commission’s commitment to make voting experience pleasant and memorable, basic amenities like drinking water, electricity, toilets, ramps, adequate shelter and helpdesk were provided at all polling stations. Wheelchair facility was provided to the needy people. To encourage young voters, 114 polling stations were managed by youth. To promote gender inclusiveness and accessibility, 115 polling stations were managed entirely by women while 87 were managed by Divyang employees.

*Voters made aware through SVEEP activities, various competitions held*

The Chief Electoral Officer said Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities were organized to promote democratic celebration before the polling day. Local themes and elements were used in various activities like street plays, local influential persons and symbols, indigenous sports activities as well as plantation drives, painting and debate competitions to further increase the enthusiasm of youth towards voting on the day of polling.

Sh. Pankaj Agarwal expressed gratitude to all the officers and employees engaged in election duty for conducting the voting process peacefully and successfully and said with the cooperation of all, the elections in the state were peaceful.
