This year’s Miss Universe Delhi and Haryana pageant took an inspiring turn with a strong focus on women’s empowerment through knowledge and action. To take forward this vision this vision, they invited Ms. Raavi Birbal, Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court, to conduct a special session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013, along with other important gender-related laws.

Mr. Trishul Koli of Navsama Nexus said that the platform’s vision extends beyond helping women grow as pageant contestants. The objective is to equip them with knowledge and awareness that will guide and empower them throughout their lives.The organizers emphasized that they were looking for women who were not only confident in their words but also empowered through meaningful action, and therefore entrusted Ms. Birbal to deliver the address on the topic .

Ms. Raavi Birbal, Advocate  delivered an engaging and insightful session on the POSH Act and related legal provisions. The highlight of the session was  interactive discussion that followed, where contestants raised thoughtful and practical questions. These ranged from sexual harassment during international trips to legal remedies available to women, imitations and challenges associated with dating apps, domestic violence, changes required in legislations and various challenges that can arise in the implementation of law.

The session proved to be highly constructive, enriching the contestants with valuable legal knowledge and a deeper sense of purpose. Participants left with greater awareness, confidence, and a stronger understanding of their rights and responsibilities.

Mr. Trishul Koli said sessions such as these empower women enabling them to become stronger leaders, professionals, and role models in society.Ms.Raavi Birbal remarked that the contestants are ambassadors of confidence and empowerment, and that they should carry this knowledge with them wherever they go, using it to  positively influence others. As already in news India’s Glamanand Group acquired the franchise rights of  Miss Universe India.
